Traditional Cheese Fondue - enjoy with some wine and a nice fire in the fireplace.
2 10 oz. pkg Sliced Swiss Cheese
1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
2 Cups Dry White Wine
1 Cup Fresh Mushrooms Sliced
1 Loaf Sourdough Bread Cubed
Cube your loaf of french bread. Lightly toast it in the oven on a cookie sheet.
Cover the bottom of your fondue pot with garlic powder.
Roast the garlic powder then add wine. heat until very hot.
Cut cheese into manageable pieces and coat with flour. Add to fondue pot.
Reduce heat and melt. Add mushrooms once cheese is melted.
If the mixture is too thin add more flour a tbs at a time. If it is too thick add more wine. Enjoy with bread cubes.
Be sure that you own a good plunger afterwards.
