Coins on the floor!!!!

I was in a Spring cleaning frenzy of sorts today and was picking things up and was AMAZED at how many coins I found on the floor.  I also found them on the tops of my dresser, headboard storage unit, shoe rack, etc.

I found enough loose change to pay for a dinner at my favorite sushi place.  The question is, where did it all come from?  I have heard that an average American home has about $150 of loose change laying around in couches, floors, etc.  I didn't believe it until today.

A couple of weeks ago, my dryer blew a heat coupler so when we moved it out, again, probably $10 was on the floor in assorted coins.  I guess I can add it to my haul today, and that would probably be about $30.  This is intriguing...my husband's room looks like Oscar Madison's room from the old Odd Couple series.  Yes, we have separate rooms - the snoring thing.  His room is such a sight and you can't even walk through it.  I bet there's at least $40 in there--maybe more.  This isn't even addressing our coats and pockets...my alternative handbags, our coat closet or the biggee--the living room couch and love seat.  I bet if we tipped either of those bad boys over, we'd find another mother lode.

So maybe another $40 between those sources?  What are we up to now...$110?  okay where would the other $40 come from?  I don't have that answer but I bet it is somewhere, just waiting for me to go 'holy cow what is going on here?'

I guess a trip to Coin Star is in order...after the sushi!
