Being Tailgated...grrrr

Date: November 17, 2011

I commute EARLY in the morning.  This time of year, it's dark.  The stars are out.  You get the picture.  So, I was on my way in this morning, almost here, and a car was behind me, jammping right up on my rear bumper.  I was not driving at a snail's pace either.  What made it worse is he had not only his lights illuminating the interior of my car, but 2 halogen fog lights on also.

So I pulled into the driveway leading to my building, and he is hot on my bumper, still.  I pulled around the back of my building and saw him go to the parking lot of the building next door.  Evidently that company has a 6:30 am shift starting, so many folks were arriving, so I decided to have a chat with my tailgater.  I found him sitting in his car, the music thumping so loudly, the chasis of his vehicle was cvibrating.  Sheesh.  Finally, after about a minute, he noticed me standing there, in the dark.  I spoke.

I didn't go "Michael Douglas in Falling Down" on him, but I did tell him he was very rude and that kind of driving is dangerous.  If something had come out and I had to jam on my brakes, that he would have rearended me, etc.

Maybe it went in one ear and out the other, but it made me feel good!
