All I wanted for Christmas was to Keep My House
December 14, 2008
So finally...I got my house situation settled and the good news is that I get to keep it. It's been scary - lenders not even wanting to talk to you until you're in default...or worse. I was afraid to do anything - even a deep cleaning - until I knew my fate.
Home Sweet Home
So finally...I got my house situation settled and the good news is that I get to keep it. It's been scary - lenders not even wanting to talk to you until you're in default...or worse. I was afraid to do anything - even a deep cleaning - until I knew my fate.
Thanks to the angels over at Avemos Finacial here in Fremont, they were able to get my lender to reduce my payment by a whopping $2400 a month! I was in one of those ARM loans and had refinanced myself into an inverted position. So I will be making 3 adjusted payments (well, I made one already), and then they'll modify the balance and it'll likely go down--again!
This spring will bring some new plants out front and that hideous color's days are numbered. Oh yeah - in case you're wondering what that crumpled pile is on the lawn, that's Santa on a Harley deflated. I have quite a list of things to do around the house including painting the kitchen ad bathroom, eventually investing in some shutters for the front window, a light tunnel in the hall, screen doors on the front and back door, and a window cut in the bedroom's south wall. It won't happen overnight, of course; I have to make sure I'm working, etc.(!)
So right now while I am writing this entry, I am making plans to run wires into my attic for my Bose speaker system. I've had it for eleven years but have never properly mounted the speakers. I found mounts on eBay that will allow me to hang the speakers from the ceiling. They sound soooo good....
Anyway that's it for now!
