We were going to wait. But, the heart needs what the heart needs, as a good friend said, reacting to our adoption. We miss Simone horribly, and she will forever leave a hole in our hearts. Cristal brings a light into the house in the form of a bouncing, delightful energetic "muffin on legs."

Well, we just adopted one (she did have a twin) and it was a tough choice between them. Mason absolutely adores her; he is following in the tradition of every male tuxedo cat I've ever had in that they exhibit no hoslitility towards an incoming kitten - immediate grooming and maternal carnig comes into play instead. Skylar is being a grumpy old man towards her, as well as his sister, Sabrina. Cristal doesn't take them seriously.
We look forward to seeing her personality unfolding - her tiny little voice is just developing what I call "language skills" now in the form of a few trills added to her requests. We welcome Cristal to her forever home. And yes, she named herself. Although I do not drink, Cristal is a sparkling drink and she has a sparkling personality!
