Meet Kimba

Named after the Japanese cartoon in the 70's, Kimba the White Lion, Kimba has been getting acquainted with life at the Briones Zoo. She's not white like her namesake, but she roars like a little lion and that name just kept coming back to me as the name to call her. Lots of growing and hissing going on around here right now, but that too, shall pass! She was born on April 9 and is full of energy and vinegar...

She is getting along better these days with the other cats, but isn't a full-fledged member of the group yet. I figure it'll just take time! She has mastered jumping up on things (oh boy) and hasn't learned good manners yet. It'll all take time...
