Here we go for another month
Posted April 2, 2020
So we are under quarantine until at least May 3rd. I never thought anything like this could happen, but here we are. Grocery stores have empty shelves...there is tape on the floor spaced 6' apart so we are practicing proper "social distancing" as they are calling it.
Strange Times Upon Us
Posted March 23, 2020
This time in history is awfully strange. I never thought we'd have anything like this happen and I wonder if the media is being twisted by inducing all of this. It just takes me to the opening lines of Tale of Two Cities. I'm not exactly a scholar by any means, but this resonates today from centuries ago! So here we are, all on lockdown. We aren't supposed to go out for anything except "essentials." But it's funny how many people were waiting for the doors to open at Total Wine this last weekend...

So I was a little over 7 weeks out, still not eating, so I went to see my primary care physician. First thing she noticed was that my left leg was very swollen and ordered an ultrasound.
Will it get better soon????

New development as I go into my 5 and a half weeks post op...my supporting muscles are fully awakening and they are on fire!
Post Op Day 26

Just came from a very grueling PT session. The straightening part KILLS me. My bend is great; 128 degrees today. Straightening -3. UGH.
Post Op Day 20

So yesterday I had a breakthrough...I did not need any pain meds It was also the first day of harder physical therapy - and I passed with flying colors! I rode the bike and they were amazed I could go all the way around on the pedalling.
Total Knee Replacement - Day 16
Posted January 4, 2020
So these two X-Rays were taken right after I woke up from the procedure. The bright white parts are the new parts - they even resurfaced my patella (knee cap). I had a breakthrough yesterday 6 hours after some grueling physical therapy - I couldn't lift my leg more than a couple of inches off the table. I was told my muscles have temporarily forgotten how to do it and if I work both sides, it'll come back.
